Terms of Service
This page explains in plain English how Flinzo works today. If anything here is unclear, write to support@flinzoai.com and we will answer.
Flinzo is a video editing tool. You upload footage you made, we produce an edit plan, and deterministic renderers cut and caption the footage according to that plan. You keep ownership of your footage and of the edits we produce from it. We do not acquire any right to your footage beyond what is needed to process it for you.
1. Accounts and the 18+ requirement
Flinzo is available to people aged 18 or older. By continuing on the sign-in page, you confirm that you are 18 or older and agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy; we record that confirmation with a timestamp. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it and delete its data.
If we learn that an account holder is under 18, we terminate the account and delete the associated content. We do not keep the data while we decide.
You are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your sign-in method secure and tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access.
2. The rights you confirm when you upload
Before each upload you check a box that says: "I own this content or have the rights to edit it." That sentence is short on purpose, and this section is what it means. Checking it is a statement of fact by you, and we rely on it.
- You hold the copyright, or a licence that covers editing
- You either created the footage, or you hold a written licence or work-for-hire agreement that lets you edit it and publish the result. A licence to watch, stream or repost something is not a licence to edit it.
- Identifiable people on camera have given you permission
- If a person can be recognised in the footage — a guest, a client, a colleague, a bystander in a shot you keep — getting their permission to use and publish that footage is yours to handle, not ours. We never met them and we cannot ask them. This matters most when the finished clip is used to promote something, because several US states treat advertising use of a person's likeness differently from personal use.
- Third-party music and audio is cleared
- A commercial track, a stock track outside its licence terms, or audio captured from a broadcast or a game is not cleared by the fact that you filmed it. If a track appears in your footage, you need a licence that covers both the recording and the underlying composition for the way you intend to publish it. Flinzo does not clear music for you and does not supply a music catalogue.
- Third-party footage, logos and artwork are cleared
- Screen recordings of someone else's film, TV, stream or paid course, and brand logos or artwork you do not own, need their own permission. Editing them does not create a new right.
What the attestation is not: it is not a licence from anyone else, and it does not make an otherwise prohibited upload permitted. It protects us from a user who uploads material they had no right to, and it is the basis for the repeat-infringer policy below. It has no effect on a platform's own terms — see "Imports and where footage may come from".
Prohibited content. Do not upload or produce: material that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or likeness rights; sexual content involving minors, in any form, real or synthetic; non-consensual intimate imagery; content that promotes or facilitates violence, terrorism, or the creation of weapons; content that harasses a person or incites hatred against people based on a protected characteristic; malware; material that violates export controls or sanctions; and material whose processing would break a law that applies to you or to us. We also do not allow Flinzo to be used to make a real person appear to say or do something they did not — no voice cloning, no synthetic likeness, no AI dubbing of another person's voice.
Anyone can report an intimate image or video shared without consent at /legal/report — no account needed. We remove valid reports within 48 hours, and a Flinzo share link named in a report is turned off as soon as the report arrives.
AI output and its limitations. Flinzo uses AI models to understand your footage and to propose an edit plan. Models are not deterministic and they are not always right: a model can misjudge which moment is your strongest, mis-transcribe a word, or mislabel a speaker. Captions are machine-generated and require your review before you publish. Every plan is shown to you for approval before anything is rendered, and you decide whether to publish. You remain the author and the publisher of the finished video, and you are responsible for what it says.
Flinzo does not generate or alter the footage you give us, and no model creates anyone's face or voice. AI proposes the plan and the edits; deterministic renderers carry them out against your own frames. The only generated elements are sound effects when no library sound fits, and music only if you allow it — each is labelled in the export's rights record. We do not use your content to train AI models — see the AI disclosure page for exactly which providers are involved and what each one does with a request.
Imports and where footage may come from. You can upload a file directly, or give us a direct file link or an authorised cloud-storage link. We do not accept links to consumer video platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, Instagram or Facebook, and we will reject them with an explanation. This is not about your copyright: those platforms' own terms prohibit automated downloading regardless of who owns the video, and US anti-circumvention law does not ask who the copyright owner is. If the footage is yours, export it from the platform's own creator tools and upload the file.
3. Your content and the licence you give us
You keep all ownership of your footage, your transcripts, your edit plans and your finished videos. We claim nothing in them.
You give us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, copy, transcode, analyse and display your content strictly for the purpose of providing the service to you, and to the extent necessary to operate it — for example, keeping the file so a render can resume, or sending audio to a speech-to-text provider so you get a transcript. The licence lasts as long as we hold the content and ends when the content is deleted.
We do not use your content to train models, we do not use it in marketing, and we do not sell or share it. If we ever want to feature your work, we will ask you first and you can say no.
Paid plans produce output with no Flinzo watermark. We do not place a watermark on paid output and we do not add one later without telling you.
4. Plans, credits and billing
Flinzo is sold as monthly plans that include credits. Credits pay for AI work — analysing footage, AI edits, chat edits — and every action shows its credit cost before you confirm it. Prices, credit amounts and top-up packs are on the pricing page. Subscriptions renew monthly until you cancel; the refunds page sets out how renewal, cancellation and price changes work.
Credits are a limited, revocable licence to use Flinzo's features. They are not money: they have no cash value, are not a gift card or stored value, and cannot be sold, transferred or exchanged for cash. They are refunded only as the refunds page says. Plan credits are usable until the end of the billing period they belong to; top-up credits expire 12 months after purchase.
Credits come back to you automatically when we fail you: a failed render, or output our own quality checks reject, returns the credits it consumed. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for. The refunds page states the whole policy, and the code does what that page says.
Displayed prices exclude tax. Sales tax, where it applies, is calculated at checkout based on your location and shown as a separate line on your receipt.
5. Acceptable use of the service itself
- Do not attempt to access another account, another user's projects, or any data that is not yours.
- Do not probe, scan or stress-test our infrastructure, except that good-faith security research reported privately to us is welcome.
- Do not resell the service, run it as a white-label product, or automate it to serve third parties without a written agreement with us.
- Do not circumvent quotas, credit limits or rate limits, and do not create multiple accounts to get more free usage.
- Do not use the service to build a competing dataset or model, including by scraping our output at scale.
6. Copyright complaints and repeat infringers
We respond to copyright notices that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and we operate a repeat-infringer policy. The DMCA page has the designated agent's contact details, what a notice must contain, how to file a counter-notice, and the published strike threshold at which we terminate an account.
In short: a valid notice leads to removal or disabling of the identified material and a strike on the account. A valid counter-notice leads to restoration within the statutory window unless the complainant files suit. An account that accumulates the published number of unresolved strikes is terminated, and the same number is enforced in code as the number we publish.
We do not run automated copyright scanning of your footage. That is a deliberate choice: we edit material you told us you have the rights to, and we act on notices we receive.
7. Suspension and termination
You can close your account at any time from your account settings, without emailing anyone. Closing your account deletes your projects and the files behind them.
We may suspend or terminate an account for: repeated copyright infringement under the published policy; prohibited content; a payment that cannot be collected; abuse of the service or of other users; or a legal requirement. Where the circumstances allow it, we tell you why and give you a chance to respond. Where we terminate for our own convenience rather than for your conduct, we refund the unused portion of the current period.
On termination we delete your content on the schedule set out in the privacy notice. A small number of billing records are kept longer because a law requires it; the privacy notice names them.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided as it is. We work hard to make it reliable and we tell you honestly when it fails, but we do not promise uninterrupted operation, a particular processing time, that a model will judge your footage the way you would, or that a finished video will perform in any way on any platform. We make no promise about views, growth, revenue or audience.
Keep your own copy of your source footage. Flinzo is an editing tool, not an archive.
9. Changes to these terms
When we change these terms in a way that matters to you, we tell you before the change takes effect and we update the version and date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Flinzo after the change takes effect means the new version applies to you. Price changes have their own notice period, described on the refunds page.
10. Governing law, venue and how to reach us
Governing law and venue are not settled yet, and we will not name a state we have not decided on. This section will state the governing law and the exclusive venue once our legal entity exists and counsel has reviewed the choice.
